The founding
An initiative of Jayden Croft
The college was founded by Jayden Croft as an independent educational initiative and is operated under Croft Productions.
It exists for a straightforward reason: to teach software and game development to adults who want to learn the work properly, without the usual barriers of cost, relocation or prior qualification.
The college is administered directly from its office and from the Office of the Founding Principal. Teaching and correspondence are handled by the college's own faculty and staff, and every enquiry received is recorded and answered.

Mission
Teaching, honestly and well
The college's mission is to provide free, serious education in software and game development to adults, without overstating what it is or what it awards.
Access
Open to all adults of eighteen and over. Teaching is free of charge, so that cost is never the reason someone cannot study.
Discipline
Study is organised into four departments, each with its own practice: programming, game development, three-dimensional art and design, and digital production.
Honesty
The college is independent and non-accredited. It says so everywhere, and it makes no claim to recognition, affiliation or accredited award.
Educational philosophy
The principles that govern teaching
01
Practice before ceremony
Teaching is built around doing the work — writing code, building systems, finishing pieces — rather than around titles and formalities.
02
A small institution on purpose
The college keeps its scale modest so that teaching and administration stay direct, and so that every student is known to the staff who teach them.
03
Departments, not brochures
The four departments exist as areas of proper study rather than marketing categories. Course structures will be published only once they are settled.
04
Candour about standing
The college states plainly that it is independent and non-accredited, and that its teaching does not lead to a recognised qualification.
